Dedicated to transparency and fairness in property valuation. Join us to build a more equitable Grant County for every resident.

Values and Vision

Integrity

Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching. As assessor, I will ensure myself and my team act with honesty and integrity at all times to earn the trust of Grant County taxpayers. If I wouldn't do it in front of the public then I wont be doing it behind closed doors either. No back room deals or changing of values without data based backing.

I will implement and enforce tracking policies for properties owned by assessor's office staff as well as preventing staff from having any part in appraisals where they have personal or financial interest.

Transparency

Transparency means being open and honest without secrets. As assessor, I will prioritize informing the public about office operations, rather than keeping the citizens of our community in the dark. I will make it a point to get out into the public and have conversations with the community, addressing their questions and concerns, not just sitting in an office waiting for them to come to me.

This also means making valuation information more easily accessible for taxpayers. Whether that be through community outreach, modernizing our website or more frequent press releases, it will be a top priority of mine, if elected.

Fairness

Fairness is treating everyone impartially and without bias. As assessor, I will guarantee that staff and taxpayers contacting my office always receive fair, respectful, and equitable treatment. Whether you own a mansion on the Moses Lake waterfront, a tiny home in Wilson Creek or a sprawling farm in Royal City, you will be treated fairly. Whether you are a county commissioner, a lifelong resident or brand new citizen of Grant County you will receive the same treatment as everyone else. Any situation where you feel like you have been treated unfairly will be taken seriously.

About the Candidate

Ethics & Experience

For the past 9 years I have worked in the Grant County Assessor's Office, gaining experience across multiple positions. For the first 7 years, I worked as the commercial and industrial appraiser, and 2 years ago I was promoted to the senior position of appraisal analyst, focusing on real estate market analysis. Throughout my tenure, I have completed over 250 hours of continuing education in property assessments.

Outside of my professional life, I have been married to my amazing wife for 20 years and have 3 amazing sons. I am a man of faith and a military veteran.

I am a public servant, not a politician. I am running for this position as a non-partisan candidate because I believe property assessments should remain fair, impartial, and entirely free of politics.
